What is the border crossing fee for Indian delegates entering Nepal?
Indian delegates arriving with their own vehicles must register their vehicle entry specifying the number of days. A nominal charge needs to be paid which varies from NRs. 250/- to 500/- per day depending on the type of vehicle.

How far is Kathmandu University from Tribhuvan International Airport?
Kathmandu University is situated in Dhulikhel, which is about 28 km away from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The University can be reached by car in about 40 minutes. With the road construction ongoing, a slight delay can be expected during peak hours.
Are there transportation services available from the airport to Dhulikhel?
The university will organize transportation service for the delegates attending the Vice Chancellors Conference and Bharat-Nepal Higher Education Summit. Upon receiving the participant’s itinerary details from AIU, the secretariat will establish contact with the participants to make necessary arrangements.
Are there independent transportation options for Vice Chancellors to explore Dhulikhel?
Yes. A dedicated transportation facility will be available by Kathmandu University for the individual vice chancellors/group looking to explore around Dhulikhel.
Accommodation
Is there a specific process for reserving accommodation, or will it be handled through the event registration?
Kathmandu University has signed a MoU with the Regional Hotel Association of Nepal to arrange the accommodations for the conference participants. Participating dignitaries will be assigned to one of the nine hotels designated for the conference.

Are there any special arrangements for transportation between the event venue and the hotels?
The transportation between and the event venue will be provided by the respective hotels in coordination with the University.
What will the weather be like in Kathmandu University Dhulikhel during the event?
February at Dhulikhel is cold, with temperatures ranging from 2° C to 15°C and is slightly windy during evenings. The participants are encouraged to bring moderately warm, windproof clothing.

Currency and Payments
Are there currency exchange services at the event venue or nearby for participants who need to convert money?
Yes, there is a currency exchange service conveniently located at the extension counter of NIBL Bank within the venue. Please note that currency exchange is available only for notes of INR 100.
Additionally, participants can use SBI Card, VISA, and Mastercard, as these cards are widely accepted for transactions.
